Dig into your child’s big feelings iceberg

A common misconception we have is “my kid has anger problems”. I know I said this for about two years, among my own big emotions, tears and frustration at not being able to help my son. The beginning of the period of change for us (and all my clients) is recognising that what our kids show us is the tip of the iceberg and if we constantly respond (and punish) these behaviours, we can get stuck in a negative cycle.
